Multi Day Road Trip

The Multi-Day road trip is a great option for the more adventurous angler wanting to explore a variety of different rivers, streams and spring creeks in more remote areas. It also gives us the flexibility to move around if the weather changes and we need to ‘duck and dive’ a little to avoid the worst of it.

Paul’s intimate knowledge of the rivers and streams in the areas he guides, their ever-changing environments, weather patterns and fishing conditions is what makes these trips unforgettable.

There is a 3-day minimum when booking these trips with most anglers booking 3-6 days to really maximise their time here in New Zealand.

Each day we will go where the fishing is best, based on current weather and river conditions. This will also determine where we will stay for the night. Accommodation can range from the classic old ‘Kiwi’ country pub (my personal favourite) AirBnB’s, luxury lodges and campground cabins.

Breakfasts are self-catered, with Paul supplying a healthy packed lunch each day, as for dinners we can either self-cater or dine out at a local café or restaurant and sample some real “kiwi” hospitality.

Venturing off the beaten track often by either hiking in,4x4 or chopper to experience the best of New Zealand's pristine wilderness fisheries. A reasonable level of fitness is required when fishing in the NZ back country as is a keen sense of adventure !

Each trip is customised, and Paul offers no-obligation quotes to plan your dream New Zealand fly fishing experience. The ultimate goal is to ensure we maximise your time on the water and make it as enjoyable and informative as possible!

Excellent Kiwi Guide
Feb 2024

Paul was a great guide and friendly companion who we spent 3 days with on our trip to New Zealand.
My wife and I have fished around the globe. We found Paul to be a great guide to learn how to catch big Kiwi trout.
He gave us solid shots at big fish every day and went out of his way to help us land some really spectacular trout.
He was well prepared and was very thorough.
Most importantly he was fun to spend time with on the water.
